Commitment

Our Vision for Community-Building

  1. Organizing Small Group Meetings

Small group meetings are a cornerstone for building deep connections within the church. These gatherings will be centered around various themes such as Bible study, prayer, book clubs, or even interest-based activities like hiking or cooking. It will be a safe space where members can share their lives, struggles, and victories, mirroring the intimate relationship between Ruth and Naomi. By encouraging openness and vulnerability, these small groups will become a source of spiritual and emotional support.

  1. Implementing Mentorship Programs

Mentorship, much like the relationship between Naomi and Ruth, will allow for the passing of wisdom, encouragement, and faith from one generation to another. A mentorship program within Campus Dei will pair newer members with more experienced ones, facilitating a transfer of knowledge and faith practices. This one-on-one relationship will provide personalized guidance, helping mentees navigate their spiritual journey and fostering a sense of belonging within the larger church community.

  1. Hosting Fellowship Activities

Fellowship activities will serve as the heartbeat of the church’s communal life, offering both fun and spiritual enrichment. These will range from potluck dinners and movie nights to service projects and retreats. The goal is to create enjoyable and meaningful experiences that strengthen the bonds between members, much like the shared experiences of Ruth and Naomi deepened their bond. Fellowship activities will also be excellent opportunities for members to invite friends and family, potentially drawing new people into the church community.

  1. Fostering a Family-Like Environment

The essence of Ruth’s loyalty to Naomi is her choice to stay and support Naomi as family, despite not being related by blood. Emulating this in Campus Dei will mean emphasizing that church members are family, bound not by blood but by faith and love. This will be reflected in the way members care for each other in times of need, celebrate together in times of joy, and commit to walking together in faith.
